Terms and conditions for Stringtale

Article 1: Introduction
1.1 Agreement: These terms and conditions govern the use of the Stringtale
service, provided by De Monsters, a development studio based in Amsterdam. By
accessing or using Stringtale, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not
agree, you should not use the service.
1.2 Service Description: Stringtale
is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool designed to simplify the management of static
text in web projects by converting text updates into pull requests.
1.3
Applicability: These terms apply to all users of Stringtale, including individuals
and entities using the service for personal, commercial, or professional purposes.
1.4 Modifications: De Monsters reserves the right to modify these terms at
any time, with changes communicated as outlined in this agreement.
Article 2: Definitions
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the following definitions
apply:
2.1 Service: The “Service” refers to Stringtale, the
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool provided by De Monsters for managing static text
in web projects.
2.2 User: A “User” is any individual or entity that
accesses or uses Stringtale, whether for personal, commercial, or professional
purposes.
2.3 Account: An “Account” is the personal or organizational
account registered by a User to access and use Stringtale.
2.4 Content:
“Content” includes all text, data, and other materials that Users upload, submit, or
manage through Stringtale.
2.5 Subscription: A “Subscription” refers to
the User’s paid access to Stringtale’s services, subject to the selected pricing
plan.
2.6 Confidential Information: “Confidential Information” refers to
any non-public information disclosed by one party to another in connection with the
use of Stringtale.
2.7 Software: Refers to the Stringtale application and
all its associated components, including APIs and extensions.
2.8
Third-Party Services: Any external services or tools integrated with Stringtale that
are not provided by De Monsters.
2.9 Billing Cycle: The period (monthly or
annual) for which the User is billed for the Subscription.
2.10 Personal
Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual that is
processed by Stringtale.
2.11 Support: Assistance provided by De Monsters
to Users, including technical help and customer service.
Article 3: Use of the Service
3.1 Service Overview: Stringtale provides a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool
designed to simplify the management of static text in web projects. By converting
text updates into pull requests, Stringtale integrates seamlessly into your
development workflow. While initially designed for use in ReactJS and NextJS
projects, Stringtale may expand to support additional frameworks in the future
without requiring changes to these terms.
3.2 Account Registration: To
access Stringtale, you must create an account. Upon registration, you gain access to
the service through a secure login process. You agree to provide accurate and
complete information during registration and to update your information as
necessary.
3.3 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the
confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify De Monsters
immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. De Monsters assumes that all
activities conducted under your account are authorized by you.
3.4 User
Data: Stringtale processes personal data as part of delivering the service. By using
Stringtale, you consent to the processing of your data in accordance with our
Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that any data you upload does not
violate any laws or third-party rights.
3.5 Prohibited Use: You agree not
to misuse the service, including but not limited to, engaging in illegal activities,
uploading malicious content, or attempting to access unauthorized areas of the
service. De Monsters reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access if you
violate these terms.
Article 4: Subscription and Billing
4.1 Subscription Plans: Stringtale offers various subscription plans, including
monthly and annual options. Details of each plan, including pricing, are available
on the Stringtale website.
4.2 Billing and Payment: All payments for
Stringtale subscriptions are processed via Stripe. You authorize De Monsters to
charge your credit card through Stripe for the agreed-upon amount at the start of
each billing cycle.
4.3 Tax Information: De Monsters is a
Netherlands-based company and complies with Dutch and European tax laws. VAT will be
applied to customers within the EU as required by law. For non-EU customers,
including those in North America and the UK, tax handling will follow the applicable
regulations.
4.4 Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the
end of each billing cycle unless canceled by the user. Users can manage their
subscription settings, including cancellation, through their Stringtale account.
4.5 Refund Policy: Given that the service is provided immediately upon
subscription, refunds are generally not available, except as required by law. Any
refund requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
4.6 Currency:
Payments are accepted in USD, EUR, and GBP.
4.7 Failed Payments: If a
payment fails, De Monsters may attempt to reprocess the payment. If payment
continues to fail, your access to Stringtale may be suspended until the payment
issue is resolved.
4.8 Cancellation Policy: Users can cancel their
subscription through their Stringtale account. Upon cancellation, your personal data
will be retained only as long as permitted by Dutch law and GDPR. Afterward, your
data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
